Description

This is a terrace of six properties built between 1850 and 1855. The buildings are constructed of brick, with a stucco finish and channelled detailing to the ground floor. They form three two-bay blocks linked by recessed entrance wings, each of two bays, with a single recessed bay at each end of the terrace. Pilaster screens with low balustrades flank the recessed entrance wings, each featuring two round-arched entrances with panelled doors and fanlights above. The windows on the ground floor are round-arched sashes with glazing bars, and radial glazing within the curved heads. The projecting wings have paired shallow bows containing tripartite sashes with glazing bars. A continuous dentilled cornice runs along the first floor. The projecting wings feature casement windows within architraves, surmounted by pediments on consoles, and sashes with glazing bars in architraves above. Quoins, a sill band, and a modillion cornice are present. The recessed bays incorporate round-arched casements in architraves, with a central round-arched niche to each wing. A further modillion cornice sits above this. The second floor has sashes in architraves and a further cornice above.
