Description

A pair of houses dating from the mid-19th century, located on Blomfield Road in Westminster. The houses are constructed of brick, rendered with stucco, and have a Welsh slate roof. They are three storeys high, with a basement, and have a four-bay arrangement, with a central breakforward. Each house has entrances in the side bays, approached by steps, with four-panel doors and overlights in architraves supported by cornices on corbels. No. 53 has a canted bay window. The windows are mostly sash windows, featuring glazing bars and margin lights, set within architraves. Ground floor windows have pediments on consoles, while the first floor windows have cornices. Blind boxes are present on some windows. Sill bands run along the facade, and the overhanging hipped roof has eaves brackets.
