Description
This is a terrace of six properties dating from 1850 to 1855, located on Westbourne Terrace Road in the City of Westminster. The buildings are constructed of brick, faced with stucco, with the ground floor channelled. The terrace is arranged over three storeys and a basement, divided into three two-bay blocks with recessed linking entrance wings of two bays each. A single-bay block adjoins the terrace on the left, with a three-bay return to Warwick Crescent.
Each recessed wing features pilaster screens with low balustrades and contains two round-arched entrances with panelled doors and fanlights. The windows on the ground floor are round-arched sashes with glazing bars, featuring radial glazing in the heads. The projecting wings have paired shallow bowed windows with tripartite sashes and glazing bars. A continuous dentilled cornice runs across the first floor. The projecting wings also have casement windows in architraves under pediments supported by consoles, above which are sashes with glazing bars in architraves. Quoins, sill bands, and a modillion cornice are present.
The recessed bays incorporate round-arched casement windows in architraves, with a central round-arched niche to each wing. A further modillion cornice extends above. A recessed second floor features sashes in architraves, surmounted by a cornice.
