Description
This is a terrace of houses built around 1828 by S P Cockerell for the Trustees of the Bishop of London. The buildings, numbered 61 to 65, are located on the south side of Connaught Street. They are primarily of brown brick, with number 63 being reddened. The terrace is four storeys high, with each house originally featuring two bays. Modern shop fronts are now present at ground floor level. The upper windows are sash windows with glazing bars, particularly noticeable above number 63. Flat, gauged brick arches are found at numbers 63 and 65. Number 61 has stucco architraves to its first-floor windows, which are topped with pediments, and cornices to its second-floor windows. A stucco band runs along the third floor, topped by a cornice to the parapet.
