Description
TQ 2980 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER WARWICK STREET W1 70/111 No 20 - II Commercial premises. 1906-07 by J. W. Randall Vining. Ashlar faced gabled front, slate roof. Well detailed Arts and Crafts Free Style. 4 storeys and gabled attic. Single bay above shop front which has moulded frame with shop window and door set back, under projecting stone modillion cornice. 3 main upper floors have a through storey shallow bow of 4 lights to each floor with plain dividers, metal casements; the bow recessed between splay- sided quoin piers at the head of which are large scrolled console- brackets supporting a flat soffited stone balcony to the attic with the parapet swept between the dies. The gable has a 3 light window, the centre light semicircular arched and stone hooded, dressed over all with a cornice label; saddlestone and kneeler dies to gable. The quoin piers have finely wrought iron rainwater heads and ornamental work to down pipes. Survey of London; vol XXXI
