Description
Nos 34, 35, and 36 Golden Square is an office building constructed between 1913 and 1914 by Leonard Stokes. It features a steel frame with a Portland stone front and a slate roof. The design is in a free style with minimal period references and a significant amount of glazing. The building has five storeys and a large dormered mansard roof, measuring five bays in width. The entrances are flanked by pediments, with staircase windows positioned above. The central three bays display low, deep arcading at the ground floor and large tripartite windows on the upper floors, while the fourth floor is designed as an attic with nearly continuous glazing.
