Description
This is a terrace of seven houses, numbered 7 to 16, located on the north side of Leinster Square in the City of Westminster. Built in 1857 by George Wyatt, the terrace is constructed of stucco. The houses are four storeys high, with an attic and basement, and each has a two-window frontage. The end pair of houses are slightly recessed and feature rusticated quoins. The ground floor is characterized by channelling, while projecting Doric porches are present. A continuous, bombé balcony runs along the first floor. The windows are square-headed, with architraves above the ground floor, and cornices on the first and second floors. Most windows are plate glass sashes, although some are French casements. A main cornice is situated above the third floor, with a smaller subsidiary cornice to the attic. Cast iron area railings are also present. The terrace is an integral part of the original Leinster Square layout.
