Description
No. 3 Tilney Street is a terraced town house built around 1740 by Edward Shepherd, with some early 19th-century alterations. The house is constructed of brown brick and features a slate roof. It has four storeys, including an attic storey, a basement, and a dormered mansard. The elevation is divided into two parts with shallow flanking brick pilasters. The right side is three windows wide with a central emphasis, while the left side is one window wide and contains the entrance. This entrance has a bracketed cornice hood over a square-headed doorway with a fanlight. The first floor features semicircular arched recessed sashes, while the other floors have square-headed recessed sashes. The building has a parapet with coping and cast iron area railings.
