Description
28 St Anne's Court is a terrace house built between 1735 and 1736. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof, rising three storeys with a dormered mansard. The facade is three windows wide. On the ground floor, there are remains of the original wooden doorcase on the left, which includes a moulded architrave and a single carved console-bracket, alongside an altered mid-19th century shop front. The upper floors have nearly flush framed sash windows, with the outer ones on the second floor still retaining their glazing bars, while the others have been altered. All windows are framed by stucco architraves, and there is a parapet with coping above. Inside, original features include sunk panelling and a box cornice in the passage-hall, as well as a dog leg staircase with now boxed in turned balusters. The building has important group value with No. 86 Dean Street.
