Description

TQ 2980 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER SAVILE ROW Wl 70/104 24.2.58 No 3 GV II* Terraced town house. c. 1733 with internal alterations. Brown brick, new tiled roof. 4 storeys and basement. 4 windows wide. Stone architraved doorway off centre right with scrolled carved consoles supporting moulded cornice. 6 panel door and rectangular patterned fanlight. Recessed renewed glazing bar sashes under flat gauged arches. Entablature over 2nd floor and parapet with coping, late C20 mansard. Interior retains fine quality fielded panelling, plasterwork to some ceilings, especially front 1st floor room, and carved chimneypieces, but has lost its original staircase and undergone a late C20 remodelling on ground floor, the original octagonal enriched plaster drum to the stair skylight does however remain.
