Description
This is a mid-19th century terrace of ten buildings numbered 18 to 34, located on the north side of Clarendon Gardens in London. The terrace is constructed of brick, with a stuccoed finish, and features a channelled ground floor. It rises to three storeys and a basement, with an attic to part of it. The design is balanced, comprising a central breakforward of ten bays, flanked by wings of six bays each, with a further breakforward of six bays at each end. Quoins mark each breakforward. Projecting porches with Ionic columns are present. The windows are tripartite sashes with scrolled ironwork. A decorative egg and dart moulding runs along the building line. The first floor has casement windows within architraves, topped with hoods supported on consoles, featuring stucco drops and decorative stucco work friezes. A sill band runs along the second floor. Segment-arched, keyed sashes are present except for the six bays to the right, which have flat-arched sashes. A cornice sits above the main structure, and the attic has sashes in the central bays.
