GV II Terrace town house. Early C18, c.1717-20. Brown brick and stone dressings, slate roof. Four storeys. Four windows wide. Rusticated stone doorway with cornice left of centre. Projecting stone surrounds to windows, camber headed on first floor, vertically linked by rusticated aprons, from ground to second floors; top attic storey has slightly cambered heads to stone surrounds; later C19 glazing to sashes. Rusticated brick and stone quoin piers up to main dentil cornice at third floor level which breaks forward over the piers; attic storey has panelled quoin piers and entablature with blocking course. Additional side entrance to left with rusticated surround and cornice.
Interior much altered but retains elements of first floor front rooms with cornices, shutters, doorcases etc.
Part of Lord Searborough's Hanover Square development introducing a German-Hanoverian facade type and a Baroque plan to scheme's layout.
