Description

These are a group of four terraced houses built in the mid-19th century as part of the planned layout of Princes Square. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a visible basement and attic. They are four storeys high and two windows wide. The ground floor features channelling, while each house has a projecting Doric porch. The facades above the ground floor are convex. A continuous cast iron bombé balcony runs along the first floor. The ground and third floor windows are square headed, while the first floor windows have rounded upper corners, are corniced, and are flanked by pilasters. The attic windows are segmental headed. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and they are set within architraves. A rich dentil cornice sits above the third floor, with a smaller cornice detailing the attic. Cast iron area railings are present.
