Description

This is a group of three linked pairs of semi-detached houses, numbers 44 to 54 Blenheim Terrace, located in Westminster. They were built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and have slate, lipped roofs. They are three storeys high with a basement, and each house is two windows wide, with a one-storey, one-window link bay added, extending upwards between numbers 50 and 52. The entrances are located in the outer bays of each pair, each featuring pilastered, square-headed surrounds and panelled doors. The ground-floor windows are slightly projected and set within heavy stucco surrounds with cornices. Windows are square-headed, architraved on the first floor, and have gauged brick heads on the second floor, with sash glazing bars. Cast iron window guards are present on the ground floor. A stucco band runs above the first floor. The roofs are hipped to the eaves.
