Description

Nos. 215 and 216 Piccadilly are offices and shops built around 1905-1910. The building is constructed from Portland stone and features a slate roof with eclectic Baroque details. It stands five storeys tall, plus an attic storey, and is three windows wide. The ground floor has mid-20th century shop fronts. The first floor features large metal casement windows that are deeply recessed, while the second floor has windows with architraves, scrolled keystones, and stone balconettes with iron balustrades. The third floor also has architraved windows with plain keystones, and the fourth floor has two-light architraved windows with balconettes. Above, a continuous stone bracketed balcony replaces the main cornice, leading to the stone-faced attic storey, which has a cornice and blocking course. The building is included for its group interest only.
