Description
This is a terrace of houses located on the south-east side of Sussex Gardens in the City of Westminster. The houses were built in the early to mid-19th century as part of the original layout of Bayswater, which was originally known as Grand Junction Road. The terrace comprises numbers 215 to 235 (odd). The facades are of brick with stucco dressings and channelling to the ground floor. The buildings are four storeys high with a basement. Each house has a width of two windows. They feature projecting Tuscan porches and tripartite sash windows on the ground floor. A decorative iron balcony is present on the first floor. The upper floors have square-headed windows with architraves above the ground floor, incorporating both casement and sash windows. A dentil cornice runs along the top of the buildings, and cast iron area railings are present.
