TQ 2980 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER NEWPORT COURT, WC2 71/40 (south side) 15.2.82 No. 18 G.V. II Terrace house with shop. 1778 rebuild. Stuccoed, slate roof. 4 storeys. 2 windows wide. Ground floor has later C.20 shop front. Upper floors with recessed square headed sash windows, glazing bars intact to 1st and 2nd floors. Parapet with coping. Originally part of Nicholas Barbon's 1682 development of the Newport House site. Survey of London; Vol. XXXIV.
