Description

No. 11, Little Newport Street is a terrace house dating to circa 1772, with alterations to the ground floor made in the mid-19th century. The house is constructed of multi-coloured stock brick, with a concealed roof. It rises four storeys and is three windows wide. The ground floor retains the frame of a mid-19th century shop front, alongside a square-headed house doorway on the right-hand side. This doorway features a fanlight above a panelled door. The shop front has been altered, with a new shop door, display windows, a wooden fascia, and a cornice flanked by console brackets. The upper floors have recessed sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath flat, gauged red brick arches. A parapet with coping runs along the top, and cast iron balconettes are present on the third-floor windows.
