Description
No. 19 Newport Court is a terrace house with a shop, likely dating from 1685, with alterations made in the 19th century. The front is rendered and features a tiled roof. The building has three storeys and a dormered attic, with two windows across the front. The ground floor includes a later 20th-century shop window with a mid-19th-century fascia above it. The upper floors have flush framed square-headed sash windows, which still retain their glazing bars. There is a plat band at the second-floor level and below the parapet, which has coping. This property is similar in style to Nos. 21-24A and is part of Nicholas Barbon's 1682 development of the Newport House site.
