Description

TQ 2980 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER NEWPORT COURT, WC2 71/35 (south side) 23.11.78 No. 26 G.V. II Terrace house with shop, 1784-85 rebuild. Stock brick, concealed roof. 4 storeys. 2 windows wide. Ground floor has square headed house doorway to right with fanlight and wooden mid C.l9 shop front with bracketed projecting cornice. Upper floors have recessed glazing bar sashes under flat gauged red brick arches. Parapet with coping. Originally built as part of Nicholas Barbon's 1682 development of the Newport House site.
