Description

A terrace of houses located at 108-138 Cambridge Street, London SW1, dating to approximately 1845. The buildings are constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and have a basement and three storeys. Each house is two windows wide. The composition is balanced, with numbers 116 to 130 set forward slightly. Projecting Doric porches are present at ground floor level, with channelled stucco detailing to the ground floor. A continuous balustraded balcony runs across the first floor. Windows above the ground floor have architraves, and the first floor windows of the projecting houses are corniced with pediments. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A console cornice is located above the second floor, although this has been simplified on numbers 128 to 136. The terrace features cast iron area railings. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value.
