Description
The Greyhound Public House is a corner public house built in the mid-19th century. It features brick construction with stucco dressings and stands four storeys tall. The facade has three bays facing Hugh Street and one bay facing Cambridge Street. The ground floor is rusticated, while the upper floors are treated with stucco pilaster strips between the windows and doorways. The main entrance is located in the center of the Hugh Street facade. The first floor has stucco balconettes, and the windows are square-headed with architraves. The center windows on the Hugh Street facade and the window on Cambridge Street are linked through the first and second storeys by superimposed paired stucco pilasters and balconies. The windows are sash with margin glazing. A stucco band runs above the second floor, and there is a modillion cornice above the third floor. Inside, the pub features an island bar and plain panelling.
