Description

This is a symmetrical terrace of 23 houses, numbers 1 to 23, located on Halsey Street, SW3. Constructed in the mid-19th century, the terrace is three storeys high with a basement. Each house originally had two windows. The construction is primarily brick, with the ground floor featuring channelled stucco. Windows have stucco architraves, and a stuccoed cornice and blocking is present along the top. The windows and doors are square-headed. The central section of the terrace, numbers 10 to 13, is more elaborate, incorporating pediments above the first-floor windows and a dentil cornice. Iron balconies are attached to the first-floor windows, and area railings are also present. The terrace is notable as it forms a group with numbers 24 to 47, representing a layout of generous proportions and remains in almost perfect condition.
