Description

This is a substantial house located at 10 Milner Street, SW3, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The house is constructed of stucco and has two storeys and a basement. It features three windows on each principal elevation. The ground floor windows are accentuated by balustraded balconies, framed by Doric pilasters and columns, with a cornice above. A central door is sheltered by a Doric columned porch, approached by a wide flight of steps. A balustraded balcony spans the first floor. The windows are arranged in three-part configurations, divided by Ionic columns and pilasters. The building has a dentil cornice, with segmental pediments over the outer windows and a triangular pediment over the centre. A heavily modillioned cornice tops the parapet. Angle quoins are present, with vermiculation to the ground floor.
