Description

No. 33 on West Hill is a mid-18th century, double-pile, symmetrical, 5-bay, 2-storey house. It is constructed of brick, which is now painted, and features a slate gambrel roof. The advanced central bay has a recessed 6-panel door with a fanlight, framed by clustered Doric pilasters resting on plinth blocks, and with reeded neckings. Above, entablature blocks support a broken pediment. The windows are topped with gauged flat arches, and there are three flat-headed dormers. The house has stock brick stacks with oversailing courses.
