Description

No. 23 West Hill is an earlier 15th century house made of yellow stock brick, similar to Nos. 25 and 27, but with a front that is segmental on plan. The building features a parapet that conceals a pantiled gambrel roof. It was originally part of a pair of houses. The ground floor has been altered for use as a shop. On the first floor, the right-hand blind window has a gauged flat arch, while the left-hand glazed window is framed with an early 19th century wooden architrave. Above these windows is a brick bandcourse, and there is a flat-headed dormer above.
