Description

The pillar box located in the rear courtyard of The London Hospital dates from the period between 1866 and 1879. It is a Victorian pillar box of the "penfold" type, made of cast iron. The box is hexagonal in shape and features a cap adorned with leaf designs, which rests on ball mouldings and is topped with a central finial.
