Description
Nos 30 and 32 on Newark Street, dating from the early 19th century, are built of stock brick and feature a parapet, although the roof is not visible. The buildings stand three storeys high with a basement and each has two windows. The first and second floors have recessed windows with gauged flat arches, while the first-floor windows are set in round arched recesses. The windows are mostly sashes with glazing bars. There is a brick band below the coping and a stone band at the first floor. The doors are round-headed with segmental fanlights and are framed by quadrant fluted pilasters. Nos 28 to 42 (even) form a group with St Augustine with St Philip's Church on Stepney Way.
