Description

Pond Cottages are a group of three cottages dating from the 18th century, located on the south-east side of College Road in Southwark. The cottages have a weatherboarded front and side, with brick to the rear, and a pantile roof. They are two storeys high, each with one main bay. Each cottage has a door with a bracketed hood; the door to number 6 is located on the left return. The windows are of irregular arrangement, with two- and three-light timber casements in flush frames. The ground-floor windows of numbers 4 and 5 are sash windows. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages were originally associated with nearby claypits and a brick kiln. Numbers 1-6, along with numbers 9 and 10, form a group.
