Description

Pond Cottages, now a single dwelling, were built in the 18th century. The cottages are constructed of brown brick, with some parts painted and others clad in weatherboarding, and have pantile roofs. The two-storey south-facing elevation has a lower central section of four bays and slightly higher outer bays, the left one of which is weatherboarded. C20 doors are located in the centre section. The windows are a mix of casement and sash windows with glazing bars, some set in flush frames. The interior remains uninspected. The cottages were originally associated with claypits and a brick kiln located nearby. They form a group with numbers 1-6, 9, and 10 Pond Cottages.
