Description
Nos. 2, 3, and 4 County Grove are three houses built around 1842-1845. They are constructed of yellow brick and feature a low-pitched slate roof with deep eaves soffits, although the soffit is missing on the left bay of No. 4. The buildings are two storeys high with a basement; Nos. 3 and 4 each have two bays, while No. 2 has three bays. There are steps leading up to round-headed doorways that have moulded stucco architraves and plain fanlights. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are topped with flat, gauged-brick arches, and there are stucco bands at the sills of both the ground floor and first floor. Flat pilaster strips separate the houses at the first-floor level. The group has undergone some alterations. The interiors were not inspected. Nos. 2-4 form a group with Nos. 230-252 (even) Camberwell New Road.
