Description
A boundary wall and gates dating to 1904, designed by ET Hall in an Arts and Crafts style, front St Giles’ Hospital administrative and ward blocks. The wall sits on a concrete plinth and is divided into 31 sections of downward-curving wall with stone coping and iron spearhead railings, separated by square brick piers topped with pyramidal caps. Two sets of brick piers with stone coping and pagoda-shaped heads support fine cast-iron gates featuring Art Nouveau lily decoration, located in front of the administration building.
