Description

This is a terrace of thirteen houses located on Friary Road, dating from the early 19th century, with some houses apparently rebuilt later. The houses are constructed of yellow brick, with number 131 having a stuccoed front. They have low-pitched roofs hidden behind a coped parapet. Each house is two stories high and has three bays.

The front doors are round-arched and recessed within a slightly projecting central section on the ground floor. This section has a stucco surround with a crown and band at the top of the arch. Numbers 133 to 137 have an entirely stuccoed door surround. Numbers 127 to 131, 135, 137, and 151 have decorative fanlights above the doors. The ground-floor sash windows are round-arched and have glazing bars, with stucco blocks at the top of the arch. Numbers 133 to 137 also have stucco architraves around the windows. The first-floor sash windows have gauged, flat brick arches and mostly retain their original glazing bars.

The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Numbers 121, 123, and 127-151 (the odd numbers) form a visually cohesive group.
