Description

Cross atop a tall fluted pillar which is decorated with wrap-around leaf garland carvings. This rests on a platform bearing the words "FOR GOD, KING AND COUNTRY" on the front face. Below this is a plinth, topped by a decorated pediment; the front face of this bears the inscription: IN HONOURED MEMORY / OF MEN OF THIS PARISH / WHO LAID DOWN THEIR / LIVES IN THE GREAT / EUROPEAN / WAR. / REST ETERNAL GRANT UNTO THEM / O LORD, AND LET LIGHT PERPETUAL / SHINE ON THEM. The right and left faces bear the names of the Fallen. The whole stands on a three-step base.
