Description

This is a section of old brick flooring located in the garden to the southeast of Wemyss Cottage. The flooring is made of narrow, handmade bricks arranged in a herringbone pattern, covering an area of approximately 18 square yards. It is likely a remnant of a house that existed on the site as early as 1695. A raised flower bed partially covers the flooring.
