Description
The Kitchen Garden Wall at Manor Gardens, formerly part of Wootton House, dates from the mid-18th century. It measures approximately 70 yards by 70 yards in a parallelogram shape. The walls are made of red brick, standing about 9 feet high, and are constructed in regular Flemish bond with occasional burnt headers. The south and west sides feature ham-stone coping, while two-thirds of the east side also has ham-stone coping. The north side is topped with brick coping. In the southeast corner, there is an attached brick garden shed with a slate roof and a cobblestone floor.
