Description
No. 6 Kings Avenue is a mid-19th century villa that stands three storeys tall with a basement and features three windows. The sides are constructed of stock brick, while the front is made of greyish brick. The roof is moderately low pitched, hipped, and slated, with end chimneys and an eaves soffit adorned with large dentils above a stuccoed frieze. The ground floor is banded stucco with rusticated quoins. The windows are sash style with glazing bars set in moulded architraves, and the first floor features cornices and bracketed cills. Access to the villa is via seven steps leading to a projecting porch, which has round arches in the center and on the sides, with the side arches set in recesses. The key blocks of these arches support a cornice and blocking course, and the porch is enhanced by panelled pilasters and impost blocks.
