Description
Nos. 52, 54, and 56 Walcot Square is an early to mid-19th century terrace of houses, each standing two storeys high with a basement and featuring two windows. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a parapet. The basement is stuccoed with incised lines. The first floor sash windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches, while the ground floor long casement windows have stucco lintels and are adorned with transoms and anthemion-patterned cast iron balconies. Access to the properties is via five steps, which have wrought iron handrails, leading to half-glazed five-panel doors set in flat stucco surrounds with cornices. The area also features railings, some made of cast iron and others of wrought iron.
