Description

These are early to mid-19th century properties, forming part of a terrace on Walcot Square. Each building is three storeys high, with two windows, except for number 50, which has a single, wider window. The ground and second floors feature sash windows with glazing bars. The first floor has a long casement window with a transom, leading to a balcony with a patterned cast iron railing. All windows are set within flat stucco surrounds, accentuated by key blocks and console bracketed cornices. A narrow, single-story bay provides the entrance to the terrace. It contains a modern door with a cornice head and a plain fanlight. Numbers 46 and 48 feature stuccoed lintels with key blocks above the sash windows with glazing bars, and bracketed cornices on the ground floor; the doors have similar detailing.
