Description
The walls and former coach house and stable block immediately south-west of Brockwell Hall are listed as a building of special architectural interest. The structure features a pinkish brick wall that is quadrant-shaped at the west angle of the Hall and then straight, connecting to the coach house and stable block, with another linking wall to the south.
The coach house and stable block is a single-storey, five-bay range constructed of yellow brick, topped with a low-pitched hipped slate roof and returned gabled ends. The centre block is taller and slightly projecting, featuring a round-arched recess with a stone impost band. Inside, there is a segment-headed window in a similar recess beneath a blank round recess. The intermediate bays have set-back sections framed by octagonal wooden pilasters, and there has been some alteration and infilling.
The west front consists of seven bays with segment-headed sash windows that have glazing bars set within segmental arcading. A small cupola is present on the ridge.
