Description
The stable block at Brawith Hall, located to the north-west of the house, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red-brown brick in Flemish bond, featuring ashlar dressings. The building has a hipped Welsh slate roof with later brick stacks and is a single storey in height.
The central entrance bay slightly projects and is topped with a pediment, flanked by single-bay side wings. The stable block has a plinth and a central nail-studded plank door set within a Gibbs surround, which is flanked by sash windows that have glazing bars. The outer bays also contain 16-pane sashes and additional quoins. The windows are adorned with gauged red brick flat arches that include keystones and stone cills. A modillion cornice runs along the top, and there is a pediment that contains a clock. At the center of the roof, there is a wooden cupola topped with a weathervane.
