Description

This is a terrace of thirty-one houses located in Margaret Street, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The terrace is built of stock brick, with the ground floor finished in chancelled stucco. Each house has two windows per floor. The first floor features balconies with curved iron railings, and French casement windows within architrave surrounds and cornices resting on consoles. A cill cornice band runs along the top floor. The roofline is finished with a balustraded cornice and parapet. The front doors are generally paired, framed by pilasters with ornamental capitals and adorned with entablatures. Numbers 15 and 16 are distinguished by an attached portico with fluted Corinthian half columns, entablatures, and a large pediment supported by console brackets.
