Description
A terrace of thirteen houses, now flats and maisonettes, was built around 1845. The houses are constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed parapet and stuccoed ground floor, featuring banded rustication. Each house is two windows wide, except for the end houses which have one window on their returns. They are arranged over three storeys and a basement, with the two end houses also incorporating attics, creating a distinctive and formal composition. Upper floor windows are set within fluted arched surrounds. The first-floor windows feature ears, and those on the central houses have original cast-iron balconies of elaborate design, though the balconies on the end houses may be 20th century replacements. All doors retain their original design, set within doorcases featuring square pilasters and dentil-moulded lintels beneath arched toplights. Interior features include surviving staircases and some original mouldings. The property also includes railings to the areas.
