Description

The tomb of Abraham Woodhead is located in St Pancras Old Church Gardens and dates from 1678, with some restoration. It is a chest tomb made of marble, featuring a rectangular stepped plinth. The panels of the tomb have incised borders and armorial cartouches on the ends. The cover is pyramidal in shape. Abraham Woodhead was known as a Roman Catholic apologist and was a Fellow of University College Oxford at one time.
