Description
Nos 213 and 215 on King's Road are terraced houses built in 1720. They stand three storeys high with dormers and feature three windows each. The houses are constructed of amber brick with red brick dressings. They have a moulded brick cornice below the parapet and a brick band at the first floor. The windows are flush framed sash types with glazing bars, and the doors have wood doorcases with shaped brackets. No 215 was the home of Dr Thomas Arne in 1771 and has a tablet commemorating Dame Ellen Terry, who lived there from 1904 to 1920. No 213 has a tablet honoring Carol Reed, who resided there from 1948 to 1978.
