Description
Argyle House, built in 1723 by Giacome Leoni, is a substantial two-storey house located on the south side of King's Road. The building features five windows and is constructed of amber brick. It has a stone cornice and blocking course, along with a brick band at the first floor level. The first floor windows are adorned with consoles and cornices, while the central window also includes architraves and a pediment above the entrance. This entrance is flanked by three-quarter Roman Doric columns and pilasters, with an entablature above, topped by a stone balustrade between pedestals that hold urns. The property is complemented by wrought iron railings and a gate, which have been repaired, set between brick piers that feature ball caps.
