Description
The Tomb of Philip Nowell in Brompton Cemetery is a Gothic altar tomb made of Portland stone. It features a plinth that is carved with a series of blind trefoiled panels, and a tall central pedestal that displays blind ogee niches adorned with crockets and flanking pinnacles. In front of the tomb is a ledger slab inscribed with the words 'Entrance to the family vault of Philip Nowell of Lower Belgrave Place Pimlico', indicating the entrance to the vault beneath.
