Description

Nos. 1-1A Camden Walk are terraced houses dating from the late 18th century to the early to mid-19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. They are constructed of brown brick set in Flemish bond, and the roof is presumably slate but has been covered with asphalt. The original buildings are three storeys high, featuring two windows facing Islington Green and four windows facing Camden Walk.

No. 1 has a ground-floor shop extension that may date from the early to mid-19th century, characterized by panelled pilasters, a grille above the openings, and a modelled cornice. The shop extension for no. 1A is from the 20th century. The elevation facing Islington Green has flat-arched windows on all three storeys, with gauged brick heads. The ground floor windows are painted over, while the upper floors display red brick; the top right-hand window is blank. There is a storey band between the ground and first floors. On Camden Walk, the windows have cambered heads made of stock brick. The building features a parapet and a stack at the north-west end of the hipped roof.
