Description
9, 11 and 13 Charlton Place are terraced houses built in 1790, developed by James Taylor. They are constructed of yellow brick set in Flemish bond, with a roof obscured by a parapet. The buildings rise three storeys over a basement, each featuring two windows. All openings have gauged brick heads. The entrance is round-arched and set in a recessed, round-arched stucco panel that includes a cornice and fanlight. The ground-floor windows for nos 9 and 11 are round-arched, while no 13 has a flat-arched window. The first-floor windows are flat-arched, and those on the second floor are cambered. No 11 retains original design sashes on the second floor, and no 13 has original sashes on the ground and second floors. The buildings have a parapet and stacks on the projecting party walls.
