Description
No 11A on North Road is a former coachhouse that was originally part of No 13. The building extends back and includes a section of No 13. The rear parts date from the early 18th century, while the visible front is from the early to mid-19th century and is designed in a "Gothick" style. It has two storeys and features two windows under gables with bargeboards. The roof is fairly low pitched and covered with slate, adorned with decorative ridge tiles. The exterior is finished in stucco with incised lines, which has been painted black since April 1973. The first-floor windows have pointed arches, and there is a loading door on the right side. The ground floor has garage doors, and there are modern extensions at the rear. This building is included for its group value with Nos 11A, 13, 15, and 17 to 21 (odd) known as The Sycamores, as well as No 23.
